Get her to that Greece

J sent me this picture from Greece yesterday. How pretty! I wish to travel there in a few years. I’ve been told it’s amazing. I’m really interested in seeing all the historic sights and learning about a different culture. I’ll let you know if I ever travel there.

Back to school… ¿en verano?

Well, la huelga estudiantil del sistema de la UPR acabó y hoy la UPRH hizo su back to school para terminar el semestre de enero 2010. Ya dijeron habrá otra huelga más adelante, así que veremos qué ocurre.

Dos meses inesperados

Estos pasados dos meses fueron algo inesperados.

Todo comenzó con un paro estudiantil. Ese paro fue poco a poco afectando cada uno de los recintos de la Universidad de Puerto Rico hasta que todos los recintos entraron en una huelga estudiantil. Y ahí fue que mi vida dio un giro a 180°.

Fue en esos días que te conocí. Sí, fue por Twitter. Recuerdo que te dije que quería ir al cine a ver no recuerdo qué película, comentario mencionado porque dijiste que ibas a verla con tu hermano.

Pensaste que estaba loco pero me comenzaste a hablar. And we clicked. Hablamos y hablamos y hablamos. Poco, los primeros días. Luego el comentario: parece que nos llevamos bien, pues alguien lo notó y comentó.

Comenzamos a hablar más privado, por mensajes directos. Brincamos a mensajes de texto y, luego, a la primera llamada. Fueron 85 minutos impresionantes. Pero eso no fue nada.

Seis horas y una montaña rusa de emociones después, ya había algo de apego del uno al otro. De ahí, el resto es historia… y esa historia tú la sabes.

Y, como en estos pasados dos meses, siempre llego a lo mismo. Te amo, J.

She’s gone! J (more on her later) has left on vacations to visit the Hellenic Republic (commonly referred to as Greece). She will be out for ten days. I really do hope she enjoys her time there. I return to college tomorrow for three weeks, so I’ll be busy. I already enjoyed my vacations last week by staying at Culebra, Puerto Rico.

Fun thing: I looked up her flight using a website called Flight Stats and it tells me more about her flight than I ever thought I’d need to know. At the moment, the plane she’s riding –an Airbus A340– is at an altitude of 28,700 feet, carries a speed of 495 mph and actually departed 11 minutes before schedule. Also: I can see on a map its location (like the image I embedded, which was taken a few minutes ago) and could tell you its coordinates. Technology can be scary. Oh! A little update. 541 mph at an altitude of 32,600 feet. Whoa.
